Redcomet’s Municipal Sound Pack :

A sound pack to be used together with the Ambient Sounds Tuner mod.
I’m an audio professional which results in many pet peeves about sound in games. Cities Skylines’ original sound design is ok but there still are a few things that start to drive me (and possibly others) crazy after playing hours and hours.
Thanks to the excellent Ambient Sounds Tuner mod it was quite easy for me to design and implement a lot of new audio.

– More subtle and less repetitive background ambiences.
– All car and truck sounds are new and more varied. In a future update trains and other vehicles will follow.
– Emergency services have new, unique and less loud sirens ( with some variations to safeguard your sanity when they decide to hit the streets all at once)
– Last but not least I replaced the random animal sounds with silence. Yes, I killed the seaguls.

Dependencies:

You will need the Ambient Sounds Tuner mod :
In the options menu of the AST mod you’ll have to select ‘Redcomet’s Municipal Sound Pack’ to get the sounds loaded in the game.

Issues:

– It’s possible and easy to set your own custom volumes in the AST options menu in case some sounds are too quiet or loud for your taste.
– This is just a Sound Pack so for most bugs I’d have to refer you to Archomeda, the creator of the Ambient Sounds Tuner mod.
