Luxor Las Vegas Hotel (RICO)
Luxor Las Vegas Hotel, located on the south end of the Strip in Las Vegas, Nevada. Completed in 1993 and named after the city of Luxor (ancient Thebes) in Egypt. Owned by MGM Resorts Internation, this Hotel is the 5th largest Hotel in Las Vegas and the 7th Largest Hotel in the world with 4,407 rooms.
The Luxor Sky Beam(located at the top of the pyrimad) is the strongest beam of light in the world, at 42.3 billion candela(form of measurment of light intensity). It uses curved mirrors to collect light from 39 xenon(gas powered) lamps into a single beam. This beam can be seen up to 275 miles away on a clear night.
