วัดพระศรีสรรเพชญ์ (เจดีย์)
เดิมในสมัยสมเด็จพระรามาธิบดีที่ 1 ใช้เป็นที่ประทับ ต่อมาสมเด็จพระบรมไตรโลกนาถ ทรงสร้างพระราชมณเฑียรขึ้นใหม่ทางตอนเหนือ แล้วจึงโปรดฯให้ยกเป็นเขตพุทธาวาส เพื่อประกอบพิธีสำคัญต่าง ๆ ของบ้านเมือง จึงเป็นวัดในเขตพระราชวังที่ไม่มีพระสงฆ์จำพรรษา แตกต่างกับวัดมหาธาตุสุโขทัย ที่มีพระสงฆ์จำพรรษา ทั้งวัดมหาธาตุ สุโขทัย,วัดพระศรีสรรเพชญ์ อยุธยา และวัดพระศรีรัตนศาสดาราม ต่างก็ถูกสถาปนาขึ้นในมูลเหตุการสร้างวัดเดียวกันนั่นคือ “สร้างเพื่อเป็นวัดประจำพระราชวัง”

ต่อมาในปี พ.ศ. 2035 รัชสมัยของสมเด็จพระรามาธิบดีที่ 2 พระองค์โปรดเกล้าฯ ให้สร้างพระสถูปเจดีย์องค์ตะวันออก เพื่อบรรจุพระอัฐิของพระราชบิดา สมเด็จพระบรมไตรโลกนาถ และพระสถูปเจดีย์องค์กลางเพื่อบรรจุพระอัฐิของสมเด็จพระบรมราชาธิราชที่ 3 ผู้เป็นพระเชษฐา

ในปีต่อมา พ.ศ. 2043 สมเด็จพระรามาธิบดีที่ 2 ทรงสร้างพระวิหาร ทรงหล่อพระพุทธรูป ยืนสูง 8 วา (ประมาณ 16 เมตร) หุ้มด้วยทองคำหนัก 286 ชั่ง (ประมาณ 171 กิโลกรัม) ประดิษฐานไว้ในวิหาร ถวายพระนามว่า พระศรีสรรเพชญดาญาณ เจดีย์องค์ที่ 3 ถัดมาจากด้านทิศตะวันตกเป็น เจดีย์บรรจุพระอัฐิ ของสมเด็จพระรามาธิบดีที่ 2 ซึ่งสมเด็จพระบรมราชาธิราชที่ 4(พระหน่อพุทธางกูร) พระราชโอรสได้โปรดให้สร้างขึ้น เจดีย์ทั้งสามองค์นี้เป็นเจดีย์แบบลังกา
