This home is located on the esplanade, in the bayside suburb of Brighton – almost equal in prestige to Toorak. It was built in 1988, and was set on a 3200sqm block, with bay, beach and city skyline views. The property sold in 2006 for a record AUD11.2 million. When put on the market again in 2013, the asking price was AUD20 million. No offers were forthcoming, so the vendor subdivided the block, slicing off the pool and half of the tennis court, selling 800sqm for AUD4 million. The remainder of the block, and the home were sold for AUD10.8 million.
To fit the house on a 32m x 32m block, I have left out the 25m indoor lap pool, relocated the original outdoor pool, and reduced the building scale by 15%. Also, as with my other assets, Cities Skylines doesn’t allow me to model access to underground parking/cinema/cellar.
