Moscow Old Town Collection
This collection includes my low density European style row buildings, perfectly suitable for making a beautiful old XIX – early XX century old town, just like Moscow has. Not only Moscow, actually, but every old town in Europe farer east then Warsaw – in eastern Poland, Belarus, Lithuania, Ukraine and all along Russia. Also it may suit well for some other European and old American cities and towns.
About the name: this collection contains stuff from a lot of different cities I visited and took photoes in – from Russia to Czech Republic. Putting all them together make something very like the center of the city I live. One of the frequent stereotypes for Moscow is that she is built over with a bunch of ugly platen buildings. Those who say that have never been in Moscow or just lying: this city has one of the largest, original and most beautiful historic centres in Europe, although a large part of it was lost – say thanks to Stalin’s “rebuilding” plans, Khrushchev’s brusselization and modern barbaric city management. May be this collection will put you closer to the real spirit of Moscow old town center.
